Preferences & Tools :: Automatic Task Scheduler

 

This section describes how to chose the type of scheduler to use for PLEXUM automatic task, this is used for system clean-up, email notifications, automatic billing, campaign mailing, etc..

 

Scheduler

  1. OFF: select to disable Automatic Task Scheduler.

  2. Built-in Fake Cron: select this option is you do not have access to CronTab on your server, the fakecron will be triggered by visit to your members web site homepage.

  3. CronTab: this is a better option to use because you can setup how often to access PLEXUM task and better managed.  After selecting and saving this option, you will be presented with path to task scripts to add to your server CronTab.

 

Suggestion on how often to access the task scripts using CronTab:

  1. plexum_task.pl: every 30 to 60 minutes

  2. plexum_task_leadgen.pl: it depends on the amount of campaign you are going to be running, but set to nothing less than 5 minutes and you will only see this script if you've installed Autoresponder Pro Module.

If you don't know how to setup CronTab, you will need to contact your web hosting administrator to set it up for you.
